Let's talk about this, let's review some of the common stigmas and cliches used. "Birds of a feather flock together", "monkey see monkey do", "like father like son", "they're part of that fold", "all for one one for all" ,"follow the leader", and "They Roll With The Crew".These are very popular statements. To a mind of someone who is trendy or even weak-minded these things can depend on what you are susceptible too. The Scripture talks about being steadfast and unmovable, There is a different standard when you stand firm on The Word, faithfully believing in Following Christ. There is a shift from follower of the World to A follower of God, not just a external change but an internal change of focus and a heart and mind stayed on Him. The flock changes from the following of The world, or the world not even being able to have an impression on you, to a clean heart and a pure heart flocking toward the good and having no correlation to the world unless to influence them to draw closer to God. Monkey see monkey do is irrelevant because you are not following the marks and goals of what others do in the world(no matter who) but you are pressing toward the mark of the prize of the high calling: Phillipians 3:14. The desire of your heart is not of this world because your "Father" God (The Lord Most High) is not of this World so you mind is set on higher things. See 1 John 2:17 and 1 John 4:5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. You are the trendsetter because your mind and your heart is strong in The Lord. The Word of God is your leading force The Holy Spirit is your lead, that is your fold who holds on to The Word. One for all means a different form, Ephesians 5:11 says And have NO FELLOWSHIP with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. It's not looking down on anyone but it's definitely Italy having your own standard according to His Purpose. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 2 Corinthians 6:17. This does not mean you may not be in the midst of them it means that you are never like anyone who is not living on the same promise and following of The Word. Not because you appear to be better or take that stand but because you live for Him. Matthew 5:14 and 16 states this Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. You do and live as that in sincere hope that others will come to that light and understanding but if they don't it can never and should never change you from being that. Your leader is Your Heavenly Father you follow Christ but it is His Power withing You that strengthens you to overcome any cliche and to guide you into the only steed that He has for You a true Follower of God. Assertive does not equate to Judgemental. Holding fast To Good and what God has told you does not equate to you being better than but following and living for Him definitely makes you better off. To anyone captured by The World and the followings of The World don't be surprised to be treated differently or being called anything but a Child of God, but remember this one scripture.If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. John 15:19 Stand Firm on The Word and over all hold on to Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." ... Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."
