Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Matthew 7:7‭-‬8

This is an awesome scripture. I mean to the carnal(non spiritual) thinker, or an inexperienced or new individual to the Word of God personally it may appear that you gain an instant advantage when you ask The Lord for whatever you want because it clearly states that if you ask it will be given to you. One thing we should consider Spiritually is that even though we may want alot of things it seems like time and time again we may not get all we ask for or it doesn't happen when we want it to. Sometimes it seems we don't get an answer and sometimes no is the answer.. This can cause a lot of people who don't understand about How God works, how loving and caring He is, and How His Purpose, our own safety, and His divine Will fit into what answers He Will give. Remember that what we want, if it is built in selfishness, if it is out of covetous intention, if it is out of jealousy, if it is out of spite, if it is hatred, as a matter of fact, if it is anything outside of His Will, His Purpose or according to our needs than it may be just because of that, that it does not come to pass. Or it could definitely be the way and reason we ask. This is also a time to get to know just what God has for your life so you can allow your wants and needs to be closer to His Will. Remember Matthew 6:33 says But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you, as we can see this is telling you clearly that when your focus is clear and this is your focal point then what you want rears closer to what He would want for you and what you should ask for. When your heart is pure so do your intentions become. We should realize that He is a miracle worker but He knows just what we need when we need and how we need it. Remember this scripture requires you to have faith the scriptures clearly tells you what to have faith in and what not to. So you can see what we shouldn't ask and what asking wrongly leads us to, please look at James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Psalms 37:4 says to Delight yourself in The Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. So this is an indicator that the Lord will give you what you ask for, but when you seek the Lord you would find Him, and when you ask you would ask from a condition of heart that is saturated in His Will and His desire for your life and your needs. Remember what He gives you is not only what you want and need but it will be best for you So ask with this in mind and expect it, Name It And Claim It and remember this: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
