What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean.'"

These are what make a man `unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.'" MATTHEW 15: 8, 11, 18

This is a one scripture that has been used and misinterpreted for years regarding the things in Leviticus 11 and excuses to eat as we want. It is the perfect fusion of eat what we want synonymous with do what we want. Let's look at the audience first of all and the condition of the heart and aim of the Pharisees. They had been in a place of outside worship for spectacle and superiority based on personal attribution to their title. Basically their correction was from avoiding any recognition of the Law pertaining to the true message that God gives and using certain master laws to evoke rules and reproof while overlooking the master of their heart. The aim that day was to catch up anything they could because of the threat of Christ's Following and the authentication of His Words through scripture. Dry bones were they because the main message was always about how the Word was given and entrusted to them to change their heart to a sincere inner following of The Word first, then to spread the same to others. Isaiah 54:10 says The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken,’ says the Lord, the one who pities you. Joshua 22:5 says But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 11:1 says “Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.” These scriptures specifically support The order of foods we can eat and what is unclean to eat or even touch for the matter. These foods were instructed for our health and for our well being as well as commandments given because he knew what was harmful for us and also the natural habits of these animals He cares for us. He also knew of poisons that they pertain as well. Matthew 15: 8, 11, and 18 does not give a scapegoat for Leviticus 11 but instead points to their motive in their heart, he said that outpours evil and malice etc. He rebuked them for knowing the Word but using it as trying to be corrective without love He was also able to look into what they couldn't see the condition of their heart. Our Lord and Savior says earlier in the chapter that He is not rebuking His Father's own laws but the way that The Pharisees were teaching them, Matthew 5:18 says For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled./ It has not passed away yet, and these things are real and still in effect it's because of the turning away from The Word that Christ straightens them out, He is making the clear distinction of what's important first The Heart and The Inside. Not saying that you can eat whatever His father said not to. He never mocks The teaching he replenishes clarifies and reasserts it Remember He said in John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I HEAR, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine OWN will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. It is exactly like the devil wants you to think like Ge tempted Jesus with by saying if you are who you are then cast yourself down after all you know what scripture says. THE EXACT LESSON HE WAS EXPRESSIVELY STATING TO The Pharisees. Most Importantly to Seek Not Their Own Will.

God is sanctifying His people by their food. God is Holy, therefore here He is commanding His children to be Holy also. Eating unclean foods defiles the human body, this is the law of the Bible. Leviticus 11 names the unclean and not to be consumed meats /foul/seafood. So if our HEARTS desire to be Holy we must not forget the OT LAWS in Leviticus 11 as well.
