Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37 3-4

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

There are alot of things as human beings we may want and desire. The world is filled with commercials. We see TV couples, families, items, and everything that we can buy and want.

The Lord Most High wanted us to be happy from the start. The problem is what we have been conditioned over time to equate as happiness. There are alot of things from the outside that can't grant us temporary satisfaction. However most of these things are only things that give you a sense of security. Psalm 37:4 gives you a different perspective. When we trust in the Lord and do good. We don't think as the world does so the desires of our heart change as well. The world's pleasures are something obviously we need work and things to provide for our families husbands for wives and children and so on. The Scripture talks about the desire to be in the presence and the House of The Lord. David says earlier that there is one thing that he desired of The Lord. That He would dwell in the House of The Lord Forever. Outside gratification is something but God's Word is forever. Things like true love honor trust care faithfulness, come first from God. Meaningful things that are long lasting another reason why the things we should want added and the desire of our heart should change as well. In Matthew and Luke both Christ says that we cannot serve God and Mammon. When we are concerned about God and His Kingdom, His Righteousness, then we don't desire the things that are not of or like him. The devil knows this, we should know that The Lord desires for your desire and wants to be about getting closer to Him. Some may say so wait what advantages do I have? What they may not understand is that, He is the advantage, in Him is where you find the fulfillment of all desire and eternally lasting hope. We also get the true characteristics of a how our heart should be and what our lives need real textured and long lasting. That's what the real fulfillment of life and soul is in our heart!
